RunKeeper iPhone App

I downloaded a neat little App tonight for my iPhone called RunKeeper. It uses the iPhone’s built in GPS to track the distance and speed of you’re physical activity much like Nike+ (RunKeeper is not quite as good, but it’s free).
While I don’t run, Jas and I do take Scarlett on walks often and it seems like fun way to track how far you went, how long you walked, and at what pace. While it’s not completely accurate (because your GPS signal will not be strong the whole time) it’s still fun. You can check out the first walk I recorded here. Jas’s office is moving further away from our place so we decided to see how long it would take us to walk there. The areas where our pace got slower was where Scarlett did her business.
I like how it keeps track of the elevation as well. As you can see if you look at the elevation of the above-linked walk, at a low elevation which makes for a nice walk since the way out is harder than the walk home.
Anyway, if you have an iPhone and go out for walks or runs, give RunKeeper a try!!
